The North and South Laines, distance in miles: 1
The Laines were burnt to the ground by French invaders in the 16th century and was rebuilt along the same streets, now they are full of antique and clothes shops including a vast number of restaurants and watering holes

The Royal Pavilion, distance in miles: 1
Built in 1784 and purchased in the early nineteenth century for the Prince Regent. Under the direction of the architect John Nash who employed a mixture of classical and Indian styles which have been labelled Hindoo-Gothic.
